Quick and Easy Birthday Cards 2 - Butterfly with a Bow

This beautiful birthday card is also quite easy to make. Just the right materials and of course the right design and away you go!!

 You will need:
  • Anita’s Dimensions Wings in Brown (butterfly)
  • Bow (I used shimmery brown bow from “Papermania Ribbon Collection – Spots and  Flowers – Citrus”)
  • Adhesive germs in purple (I used Hobbycraft gems sizes 3mm and 2mm)
  • Brown card paper
  • Pale yellow card paper
  • White card paper
  • “Happy Birthday” sticker
  • Double sided tape
  • Craft foam pads (I used Stix 2mm thick)
Once again all my stock is from Hobbycraft...maybe they should sponsor me (ahem!)

Now for how to put it all together...

Take white card 15cm x 30cm and fold it in half. Take a yellow card paper (size 15cm x 15cm) and using double sided tape attach it to the white card. Attach brown card (10cm x 10cm) to the yellow card and then the butterfly to the brown card paper. Tie a bow and using a foam pad attach it to the corner of the brown paper. Attach 3mm purple gem to the bow and 4 purple gems (size 2mm) to the left of the butterfly. Add “Happy Birthday” sticker to the card.

It doesn't have to be a happy birthday sticker of course...but you knew that!

I guess you end it all by taking pretty pictures of the cards and displaying them for all to see.

If you don't fancy making them you can always just ask me and I can make them for you as well. Get them quickly before they fly away. One day, you will be able to buy them off our website.... http://www.cardmagika.com/

Anyway, I hope you like the design, please feel free to ask me any questions and leave your comments on the link below. I look forward to finding out what you think.

Kind Regards
Hana

I like to mix and match various colours of textured card paper. I will of course put up some more examples for you to see shortly.

 You will need:

  • Anita’s Dimensions Wings in Brown (butterfly)
  • Adhesive gems in white (2 x 4mm, 1 x 3mm and 4 small hearts)
  • Brown card paper
  • Yellow card paper
  • White card paper
  • “Happy Birthday” sticker
  • Double sided tape
  • Craft foam pads (I used Stix 2mm thick)

http://direct.hobbycraft.co.uk/products-Tonic-Studios-Mini-Daisy-Punch_338461.htm

Take white card 15cm x 30cm and fold it in half. Take a yellow card paper (size 15cm x 15cm) and using double sided tape attach it to the white card. Attach brown card (6cm x 6.5cm) to a piece of a white card (6.5cm x 7cm) so that the white card is framing the brown card and then attach the butterfly to the top. Cut out a daisy shape into the corners using the puncher. Attach the butterfly topper to the yellow card. Add “Happy Birthday” sticker to the card followed by 3 heart shaped gems. Attach remaining gems to the left of the butterfly topper.
